SECONDARY WARNING TRAIN CROSSING SIGNS

Enhance pedestrian and motorist safety at train crossings.

When activated, LED (light emitting diode) lighted safety signs alert the general public to another approaching train when one or more trains are already stopped on the tracks. Illuminated secondary warning signs at level crossings have been shown to promote pedestrian and motorist safety.

The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) recommends the use of R3 Series Regulatory signs on roads that run parallel to tracks and have intersections within 200 feet of a highway-rail grade crossing. It also recommends R-15 Series Railroad and Light Rail signs to supplement other traffic control devices at highway-rail crossings.

Our LED illuminated signs are designed to display the illuminated message only when activated, thus drawing more attention to the message when a train is approaching a level or transit grade crossing. When deactivated, the sign message blanks-out or disappears so as not to draw attention to the message.
